Nobody can tell you the history of Venice better than the river Brenta: indeed this long canal, linking the city to its mainland, saw the dawn and sunset of the Serenissima, its victories, its legendary vessels, its successful trades and the holiday fun.
Along the banks of the river Brenta we visit many fabled architectures, such as the mysterious Villa Foscari La Malcontenta, or the majestic Villa Pisani, which belonged to Napoleon and lies in its huge romantic garden. And then again the mills of Dolo, the ancient country life painted by Canaletto in his early years, the old boats that sailed on the main transport route of the former Republic of Venice.
