During this tour, you’ll see where History was made one hundred years ago during the Great War.
Asiago is located in the Sette Comuni Plateau, covering the Northern side of the Province of Vicenza. Once an independent State, then part of the Austrian Empire, during the Great War this small village happened to be exactly at gunpoint. Indeed, there we will visit the Leiten War Memorial, where thousands of Italian and Austrian heroes are still resting.
Leaving the war behind, Asiago has become again a poetic and fairy world, embedded in an amazing mountain scenery. The town’s German roots are still visible and enjoyable in cuisine, language, traditional clothing, craftsmanship and warm hospitality.
