Vicenza, Bassano del Grappa and Villa Barbaro tour
Francesca met us at the train in Vicenza for a walking tour of the central city, including the Teatro Olimpico. She was an excellent guide, engaged and knowledgeable. We took a cab to Villa Rotunda, toured there, and she arranged a taxi for the afternoon to Villa Barbaro, over an hour drive from Vicenza; so, we had her from 9:30 to 6:30, and it was very enjoyable, including a stop at Bassano del Grappa, and some WWI and WWII history.
